Guilford is a charming, little rural town on the eastern border of Chenango County, in south central New York State, in the United States. The population teeters just under three thousand. The natural beauty of this tranquil land is unspoiled by industry and commercialism. Guilford still has undeveloped pasture lands and dense forests.
On a more modern note the Town of Guilford has a brand new town hall
and highway garage, completed in 2009, located at 223 Marble Road. The
town hall is 3,100 square-feet, and the five-bay highway garage is a
10,400 square-foot facility to protect the highway equipment, all on 117
acres. The town hall currently houses the town's office, court and
highway department, and is the designated official polling location for
the Town of Guilford.
Guilford is a peaceful town with natural beauty and a colorful past.
