    If you live on Town maintained roads, please remove automobiles and garbage cans from the roadside during a snowfall. Also, protect your mailbox by making sure it is secure and away from snow banks. The Highway Department is not responsible for repair or replacement of damaged mailboxes.

    TOWN OF GUILFORD WINTER PARKING ON TOWN ROADS It shall be unlawful to park any motor vehicle on the shoulder of any Town Road in the Town of Guilford between the hours of 6:00PM to 6:00AM from December 1, 2017 to April 1, 2018 or for a continuous period of more than eight hours between the months of December 1, 2017 and April 1, 2018.

    Certain Town Roads considered as seasonal highways, portions of Schlafer, Bruffel Hill, Quarry, Hohreiter, Parker-Smith, and Trestle-Hucklebon, without occupied residence or commercial buildings will not be maintained from December 1, 2017 to April 1, 2018.

    The Guilford Town Board and Highway Superintendent will be accepting SEALED WRITTEN BIDS by the Yard for:
    Ice Control Sand (washed and unwashed), Item 4 2" Gravel, Crushed Gravel, Bank Run Gravel and Cobbles.
    The Guilford Town Board will also be accepting SEALED WRITTEN BIDS for 1,000 tons #1 Limestone and 1,000 tons #1A limestone and/or #1 NYS Approved Washed Stone delivered to the Town's stock pile on Gospel Hill Road, Guilford, NY 13780.
    The Town will be broken in four quadrants. Bids may be accepted for all quadrants for hauling, mileage reasons. Boundary lines for quadrants are as follows: North to South - Chenango County Road 36, East to West – Chenango County Road 35
    Copies of specs can be obtained from the Highway Superintendent. All bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked Sand, Stone & Gravel Bid and must include a non-collusion statement. Bids are to be mailed or delivered to Gail M. Hoffman, Town Clerk at 223 Marble Rd. Guilford, NY 13780. Bids will be opened at 5:00 pm on March 13, 2018. The Guilford Town Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

    Notice is hereby given that assessment inventory and valuation data is available for examination and review. This data is the information which will be used to establish the assessment of each parcel which will appear on the Tentative Assessment Roll of the Town of Guilford, NY, which will be filed on or before May 1, 2018.   • The Town of Guilford is accepting proposals for CPA services of an audit for the Hamlet of Guilford Water System Improvement Project to be performed in accordance with OMB Circular A-133, the Single Audit.     There will be a Free Rabies Clinic held at the Guilford Town Garage located at 223 Marble Road, Guilford on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. New York State Public Health Rabies Law requires all dogs, cats, and domesticated ferrets to receive immunization against Rabies no later than 4 months of age and NYS Ag & Markets requires dogs to be licensed no later than 4 months of age. If your dog, cat, or ferret is not currently vaccinated against rabies and is involved in biting an individual, it must be confined for 10 days at an approved facility at the owner's expense. If the animal is currently vaccinated and involved in a bite incident, it may be confined for the 10 day period at home. If your animal is bitten by or exposed to a rabid or suspected rabid animal and is currently immunized, a vaccine booster dose must be administered within 5 days. If unvaccinated, the animal must be adequately (approval required) quarantined for 6 months in accordance with Public Health Law. When attending a rabies clinic, animals must be under control. Dogs must be on a leash. Cats should be transported in a box, crate, pillowcase, or other container. Animals vaccinated for the very first time must be re-vaccinated the following year to qualify for 3-year coverage at that time. Please bring the previous vaccination record to verify if your pet is eligible for 3-year coverage.
